The Department of Psychology, Brigham Young University, invites applications to fill one full-time professional track faculty position in the Psychology Department to begin August 2022 or sooner.  We are specifically interested in candidates with skills and expertise in child or pediatric psychology. 

Required Degree: The position requires a PhD in clinical or counseling psychology (or an equivalent field) by the appointment date, and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Utah.

Experience:  The position will have specific responsibility within the Clinical Psychology area and focus on supervision of clinical psychology students and teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses. We are specifically interested in candidates with skills and expertise in child or pediatric clinical psychology and/or demonstrations of willingness and expertise in teaching and supervising clinical psychology students in child or pediatric psychology. The most successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in undergraduate and graduate instruction.  Board-certified or board-eligible candidates are encouraged to apply, but board certification is not required.

Duties/Expectations: In addition to teaching upper- and lower-level undergraduate classes and graduate classes, providing undergraduate and graduate mentoring, and engaging in citizenship responsibilities in the department, college, and university, there is an administrative component to this position in assisting with clinical student practicum/externship placements. No research requirements are associated with the position.
